Vigilant specializes in the creation of both kit and custom wine cellars. There are many similarities and also many differences when creating your wine cellar using kit or custom wine racks. 	Racking Height Although our kit racking can achieve heights of 77.5" or 92.5", our custom wine racks can be designed and built for any height required, providing the ultimate in flexibility for your wine storage needs.
	Lockers Vigilant's kit lockers allow great flexibility with a host of options including mesh doors. Our custom solutions extend beyond these options to include glass doors, raised panel options and different sized lockers with inserts to ensure their use in any of a number of ways.
	Counter Tops There are multiple options when ordering your counter tops. Our kit line allows for different finishes and our custom line extends our offerings to custom woods, profiles, nosings and moldings, finishes, and size and shapes to outfit any of our wine racks or custom furnishings your wine cellar may include.
	Crown Molding Vigilant offers a standard kit top molding and crown in our array of finishes. You can design custom build-ups and unique crown profiles when you choose custom wine racks for your wine cellar and can match the finish to your existing decor in the home.
	Cabinetry Our standard kit cabinets are modular in nature and have many insert options that can be mixed and matched to achieve a custom look. Our custom cabinetry extends far beyond and can be designed to any size specification and can be designed to accommodate site specific obstacles such as access to wall panels or even customer supplied sinks. Custom cabinets also offer a variety of door style options including raised panel, recessed panel, or slab styles. Custom cabinets offer multiple material options including many green options. Both kit and custom caibnetry is NAUF.
	Base Molding Standard kit wine racks have a 2.5” base with a beaded base molding available. Custom wine racks are available with a higher base for a more formal look. Custom also allows for a variety of base molding options including cap, shoe, and cove moldings.
	Displays Displays are the biggest difference between kit and custom individual wine racks. The high reveal display available in custom racks creates a larger, more open, area for display at the proper 20 degree angle. Our kit racks display the bottle at the proper angle, but do not provide the dedicated display area of the high reveal as each bottle position is separated with an upright. Using high reveal displays also allows us to provide you a lighting solution for highlighting you feature labels.
	Arches Arch tops are the main feature in many wine cellars. Custom soffit arches are available in any size needed to fit your space, in either slatted or bead board style. Custom arches can also be full radius, as shown, for an enhanced look. Custom arches can also have engraved fascia panels, built in shelves or other incorporated features. Standard kit arches are available in the soffit style only, in 5 and 10 columns widths, slatted or bead board lined. Add display lighting to any arch top to highlight this aspect of your design.
