Climatech™ Water Cooled Option
The water-cooled Climatech™ uses a lot of water and is not recommended when connecting to well water or public utilities. The best application is for the use in high rise apartment complexes, restaurants or country clubs that have cooling towers or chiller systems that can be tied into for water. The water typically gets re-circulated throughout the chiller/cooling tower whereas water from a well or public utilities is drained away.
Climatech™ Humidification Attachment
The key to the success of any wine cellar is the ability to control humidity as well as temperature. A wine cellar constructed solely with temperature control is only doing half the job. The unique design of the Climatech™ wine cellar cooling unit makes adding humidity to your cellar easy.

Climatech™ Ducting Kits
The Climatech™ Wine Cooling System is designed to be completely adaptable for many types of wine cellar scenarios. The unique design allows for both through-wall and remote installation. High powered fans in the unit allow cellar air to be ducted both into and from the cellar, and exhaust air to be ducted out from the unit.

Nothing can affect the proper climate conditions in a wine cellar like cold temperatures. The Climatech™ cooling system is designed to work under extreme conditions. The Climatech™ Electric Heater keeps your cellar at a constant temperature, optimal for wine storage, even as the ambient temperature drops as the unit is designed to heat from 40° F.

Climatech™ Low Ambient Protection
A low ambient kit will help protect your Climatech™ cooling system when it is exposed to temperatures below 40° F. The low ambient kit warms the compressor and allows the system to continue its normal function.

A high ambient kit will help protect your Climatech system when it is exposed to temperatures above 95° F. General Wine Cellar Cooling & Humidity Systems FAQs - A list of frequently asked questions regarding wine cellar cooling and humidity systems.
A: With a Climatech Ducted System, the actual system is located remotely from the wine cellar with the cold air supply ducted into the cellar and the warm air return ducted away from the cellar.
A: The Climatech Ducted system is designed to be placed inside in a non-living space such as a mechanical room, closet or basement.
A: When using the insulated flex ducting, the length of duct running from the wine cellar to the system should not exceed 25 feet. If a longer duct run is necessary, the use of rigid ducting can increase the length of the run from 40 to 50 feet. In both cases, if there are numerous bends in the ductwork, that figure decreases.
A: The process of cooling the air in the wine cellar will remove some moisture from the wine cellar, which will take the form of condensation. This condensation must have a place to go, and thus a condensate drain is required.
A: Because cold air drops, it is recommended that the cold air supply be located high on the wall in the wine room.
A: The ducted split system itself will not add humidity to the wine cellar, however, there is an optional humidification system option that attaches to the cooling system and when required, will actively add humidity to the wine cellar.
A: At the system location, the decibel rating is 42. Inside the cellar, the system is virtually unnoticeable.
A: The Climatech Ducted System offers the following options:
- humidification system;

- high and low ambient protection;

A: The Climatech™ water-cooled system is an alternative to the self-contained, air-cooled system. Water is used to cool the condenser side instead of cool air. This is useful when the unit must sit in a space that exceeds the suggested temperature and where cool air is not accessible. This is also a good option if no condenser side ducting is desired. This makes the water cooled unit ideal for high-rise and special applications where space is limited. Much like the air-cooled version, this cooling system provides superior performance and aesthetic appeal ideal for any home or commercial setting. Note: Large amounts of water are required so often times, the water cooled unit is not ideal for residential applications.
A: No, the Climatech Ducted System does not require installation by a licensed HVAC professional.
A: Depending on the system size, the Climatech Ducted System requires either 115/1/60 or 230/1/60. A dedicated circuit is recommended. For more informaiton review the Climatech Specification chart.
