A wine bar or wine tasting room really creates an ideal hospitality space. There is nothing better than having a space all your own to watch the game with your friends, in the comfort of your own home or entertain your clients comfortably in your busy restaurant or club. We have designed and built amazing wine bars and can handle your custom cabinetry and millwork requirements. Many of our residential customers love to install a wine bar outside of their custom conditioned wine cellar so they can showcase their amazing wine collection to guests.
Some features to consider adding to your wine bar:
- Space for bar sinks, refrigerators, dishwashers, TVs
- Wine racks for wine glasses and under bar storage
- Wine refrigerators or conditioned wine cabinets
- Back bar cabinetry and lockable storage
- Custom wood and finish to match your existing style
- Granite, glass, tile and other unique additions and accessories
- Stools and other furniture for comfort
Wine Tasting Rooms
Wine Tasting rooms bring the ambiance of the wine cellar into your living space and are quickly becoming the essential companion to the wine cellar. Wine tasting rooms often feature:
- Views into the conditioned wine cellar through glass doors and panels
- Wine tasting tables and other wine furniture
- Bar sink for washing wine glasses
- Wine refrigerators or refrigerated wine cabinets
- Wine storage cabinets
- Modern conveniences - dishwasher, TV's, pool tables, etc.
Entertaining in a Tasting Room
You can setup your wine tasting room in a few different places depending on how much room you have and its shape. This can be an area for guests to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or a buffet style table against the wall for serving. Another idea is to have several small wine tables set up around the room each with certain wines and their complimentary cheeses. You can also have desserts that complement the wines if you want to alter the courses of your party slightly.
Try and focus your wine tasting party on a particular style or theme that may compliment the dinner you will be serving later in the evening. For example, if you intend on serving a nice tomato based pasta dish, ask your guests to bring a bottle of merlot or if you're party involves serving samplings of seafood, grab a few whites from the wine refrigerator in your home wine tasting room.
Prepare your table setting with glasses, crackers and water to cleanse the pallet. Bread can be used, but it should be of a neutral flavor. Stay away from full-flavored crackers or bread so you can truly clear the palette. French bread is a good choice as it goes with many foods and wines.
